Brief description of the main scopes
Identification of metabolites of biologically active ingredients and characterization of their chemical/ecotoxicological effects. The goal of our research is to determine the environmental fate of neonicotinoids, and their ecotoxicological impact using in vitro and in vivo models. Due to intensive use of ingredients in agriculture non-target species in the environment are exposed. The importance of the topic and the actuality is underlined by the fact, that there is a great worry worldwide about the decline of pollinators wherein, among others, the extensive use of pesticides is assumed to play a significant role.
