The Guest House of the HUN-REN Balaton Limnological Research Institute is located in a picturesque environment, directly on the shore of Lake Balaton. The house offers 17 air-conditioned rooms: two suites, eight double rooms, and seven triple rooms, providing comfortable accommodation for a total of 42 guests. The suites have bathrooms with bathtubs, while the rooms are equipped with showers. All rooms feature a refrigerator, television, and landline telephone. The guest house also offers Wi-Fi.
For conferences, there is a modern, air-conditioned auditorium with seating for 100 people, equipped with up-to-date technology (internet access, projector, etc.).
Guests can choose self-catering dining options, and the park also has a designated area for grilling. The institute has its own private beach, which guests are welcome to use. A 24-hour secured car park is available free of charge.
Tihany's scenic surroundings, geological wonders, historical monuments, natural attractions, and rare plant and animal species offer many sights to explore. Some of these include: Tihany Benedictine Abbey, Doll Museum, Open-Air Ethnographic Museum, Panopticon of Hungarian Kings and Pirate Museum, Echo Hill, Calvary Hill, Hermitage (monks' dwellings), Reformed Church, Inner Lake, Outer Lake, „Golden House” and other geyser formations.
